ROW80 – Round 1 – Check-in #17

Time for Wednesday’s ROW80 progress update. After all the amazing cheerleading on Sunday from my fellow ROW80 gang (thank you), I am kicking this week off hard and luvin’ it!

Writing Goals:

  • Complete outline of WIP
  • Write 1750 words a week, on average 250 words a day (can be on WIP or other writings like flash fiction, character development, world building etc)
    628 – so far
I did my first ROW80 writing sprint for this round today. I postponed my lunch hour until 3 pm so I could join in with  the crew. I had a meeting run late which meant I joined in at around the half way mark but I still jumped in. I am going to try to do this at least a couple of times a week! Loved it!
  • Finish James Scott Bell book
    In progress
  • Read 2 other writing craft books
    1 down – 1 in progress

Social Media Goals:

  • Blog – post 4 times a week
    3 down – 1 to go
  • Blog – post ROW80 progress reports twice a week (Sunday and Wednesday)
    Wednesday – done
  • Tweet/Comment on at least 10 blogs a week
    Done
  • Comment on 1 new blog per week (ROW80 or otherwise)
    Not yet

Healthy Lifestyle Goals:

  • Cardio – 3 times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Saturday)
    1 down – 1 scheduled for tonight – 1 to go Saturday
  • BowFlex – 3 times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday)
1 down – 1 scheduled for Thursday night- 1 to go Saturday
  • Maintain a daily food/migraine journal
Complete – After 2 months I have a solid idea of what I am eating and what I need to cut. It’s relatively the same week after week so it feels kind of pointless. I think I’ve got all the info I need moving forward.

How are you making out with your ROW80 goals?

  1. Lookin’ good, girlie! Way to go! I love those sprints – gotta do more of those myself.

    Happy Leap Day,
    Kathy

  2. Great job, Natalie. So glad you’re getting the eating thing down. I think we all react differently to food as far as weight gain, etc. Glad you joined the sprint today. I might see you tomorrow.

  3. Holy cow, Natalie!! You really did turn it around! Keep that momentum through the rest of the week and you’ll be a rock star!
I haven’t tried sprints yet, but the sound helpful. Great job, girl!

  4. Looks like you’re on track

  5. I love watching your word count goals. You’re working so hard and accomplishing so much. Great job!

  6. Go girlfriend, go girlfriend, go girlfriend…

*Jenny, cheering and waving pom-poms from her kitchen table. (Well, OK, dishtowels. But they’re festive.)*

  7. Woot-woot! Doing great, Natalie. I got a lot out of a sprint early this week too and plan to join another tomorrow or Friday (or both?).

Quick question: What’s up with the Plot & Structure book? I read that one pretty quickly, but I notice it’s been on your list for a while. I was wondering if you are outlining or what. Just curious. I still need to get that Will Write for Shoes book!

Best wishes for finishing the week strong!! Looks like somebody’s got a spark in her @$$!

    • LOVE the writing sprints. I am working on my entry for Jenny’s Dirty Fighting contest so it helped me really get some words down to play with.

Plot and Structure. LOL! Well, I am I think about 90% of the way through and then I set it down to read Will Write for Shoes and then I kept it aside and turned my attention to Save the Cat. LOL. I’ll get back to it when I am done that.

No outlining – just writing and floundering around still although feels good to be writing. 🙂

  8. You’re doing amazing! These goal posts of yours really put a spark in my ass to move forward on my writing goals! 🙂

  9. So are so good. I’m not sure I could follow these goals. I tend to write and work all over the place, lol. I bow down to you oh mighty one 🙂

Don't be shy...tell me what you think
