Urban Word Wednesday: lmgtfy

Welcome to Urban Word Wednesday! New words, phrases, and sayings I am learning (and using in my day-to-day life) brought to you by ME…and the Urban Dictionary. You are gonna love these!

lmgtfy (abbreviation): let me Google that for you! You use the website http://www.lmgtfy.com/ to search whatever the stupid person asked about. Then you email them the link. It spells it out for them.

If they aren’t smart enough to clue in, tell them about lmgtfy’s raging alcoholic cousin GFGI (Go fucking Google it!).

Examples Of Use:

Just this week, hubby and I were enjoying some TV together. We were both playing around on our laptops when the following conversation ensued.

Me: Hubby, any idea what the movies are playing tonight? Maybe we could go on a little date?

Hubby: absolutely my darlin’ little love flower, check your email, I just sent them to you!

Me: Awwww….thank you Mr. Adorable!

I opened the email and clicked on this link:

Douchebag!

Got anyone who constantly calls you to Google stuff for them? Will you use lmgtfy?

Too funny! GFG is my response to a lot of things…

  2. At least the lad has an imagination. My ex would just say, “Call and find out.” I like this idea, I find the language has evolved without me and I do need help. I will be watching for more.

  3. HAHAHA! I just love the exchanges between you and your Hubby. I’m going to be getting a lot of use out of both of these definitions.

  4. Ah, I love it. You actually made me laugh out loud. What’s more, I am going to use this!!

  5. Love it! I’m afraid I hear my son spouting one off before I learn it from you. The language they share at school. Dang.

  6. Yeah, and then you have to say STFU! When they get too out of hand. Love this new one. I’m going to try it out today!

  7. That is awesome! Your hubby and mine would get along well:)

Don't be shy...tell me what you think
