ROW80 – Round 4 – Check-in #9

It’s time to update you on my ROW80 progress. You can find a list of my goals here.

Work In Progress Goals:

  • 1 hour on WIP (only 4 hours left to reach my goal and with the weekend plans, I should be able to do this no problemo – yeahhhh!)
  • Email check-in/chat with my ROW80 Sista – Nancy J. Nicholson on Tuesday night – woot woot.
  • I reported on my ROW80 goals one on time.

I took Ryan King’s advice from Monday (to get in a WIP minute here and there) and much to my surprise, I was able to get some reading and a bit of brainstorming done. It wasn’t much but like you all said (and thank you for that…) progress is progress. I’ll take the WIN. I am really looking forward to life getting back to normal after this week. Phew…

Hope everyone is having a great start to NaNo!

Blogging Goals:

  • Blogged 3 days (4 posts by this evening) including this post.
  • Read, commented, retweeted/tweeted on over 15 blogs.

How is your ROW80 progress going thus far?

  1. Doing a quick swing through to shake my pom-poms for you! Great staying on task.

  2. I love when little things surprises us. I’m glad you got to spend some time on your WIP, and I’m sure you’ll keep with your goal for the week 😉
Good luck with the rest of the week!

  3. Great job on getting stuff done despite the craziness. It’s amazing how much the little bits and pieces can help out!

  4. Nancy J Nicholson says:

Natalie, It still amazes me how much you get done. Way to go. I think learning to do things in little chunks is the way to go.

  5. Congrats on the success and trying a new approach. Hope that gets you through your next three hours of writing. Best of luck!
    ~Kate

    • Thanks Kate – here’s hoping! I am really looking forward to getting my “writing” life back as of Friday so I can dedicate some real hours to it! 🙂

  6. Sounds like your on a roll. You’re rollin with it. I still can’t do this work-in-little-chunks thing. I’m an all or none sprinter. That’s the way I roll. 🙂 LOL ok enough rollin, I’m out. Great work!

    • LOL – well – I like the way you roll! 🙂 I am with you, I prefer bigger chunks but I was super proud that I snuck in some time here and there and didn’t let my day job totally take over…woot woot…and people like you are really rocking the ROW are such a huge inspiration!

  7. Ryan King says:

Yay! I knew you could do it. Great job!

  8. So happy you found those little chunks of time Natalie. Have a terrific remainder of the week!

  9. Sounds like great progress! Keep it up! (And I have to say, I love the blog theme!)

  10. Bit by bit, sista, and it adds up. Great job! Congrats 🙂

  11. I definitely underscore the word “WIN” here. You’re doing a great job, Natalie. Nothing like squeezing in those little chunks of time, is there?

Have a wonderful rest of the week!

  12. Jillian Dodd - Glitter, Bliss and Perfect Chaos says:

It sounds like you’re doing great!! Good job!! I constantly think of things to write when I’m doing other things. I often write notes on my phone, then email them to myself to incorporate into my stories when I actually sit down to work on them. It always amazes me how a song, or something I see will pop up in my head and fit into a storyline.
    Good luck and continued success!!

    • That’s wonderful Jillian! I think I am going to try doing more of the same because I agree, the neatest ideas pop into my head at the oddest of places and with the blackberry, taking notes is easy…you rock…here’s to your success with your books!! 🙂
