ROW80 – Round 4 – Check-in #8

It’s Monday morning and I am late with my ROW80 progress update – sorry gang.

You can find a list of my goals here.

Work In Progress Goals:

  • Another BIG FAT ZERO on WIP
  • I don’t think I even had a chance to catch up with my ROW80 Sista – Nancy J. Nicholson (sorry Nancy…I’ll get back to harrassing you more frequently next week…).
  • I reported on my ROW80 goals one on time and one late.

As suspected, the week and weekend insanity got the best of me and I didn’t get anything accomplished towards my WIP. Again, I am ok since I knew it was coming. This week will be a total write-off as well with the conference coming up. I’ll get back on track Nov 4.

Good luck to everyone starting NaNo tomorrow – woot woot!

Blogging Goals:

  • Blogged 5 days (6 posts) including this post.
  • Read, commented, retweeted/tweeted on over 25 blogs.

How is your ROW80 progress going thus far?

  1. Ryan King says:

Oh no! Sorry that your week was so busy. Sounds like next week won’t be much better. Try to take a few minutes (5) if you can and scribble something down. 50 words is better than zero, you know? I hope this coming week ends up better than you think. Good luck!

    • Ryan, that is AWESOME advice. Thank you for that encouragement and you are right, I’ll grab a notebook and keep it close so I can grab a few minutes here and there – every little bit adds up and it’s nice to escape from the real world periodically! Thanks for that…have a GREAT week!

  2. Ryan’s advice is great. This way you’ll keep some part of your mind on your WIP and it won’t be so foreign when you do get a chance to sit down and work on it. Good luck and just do your best. It’s a busy time of year:)

  3. Well, you knew these few weeks would be slammed. Even just a scribble of plot or summary of a character is still something. Don’t be upset, just carry on.

My pom poms are still waving high for you!

  4. Nancy J Nicholson says:

Natalie keep your chin up and keep treading that water. You’ll make it. I know you will.

  5. Life loves to take hold sometimes, doesn’t it? That’s what’s so great about ROW80… we are all here to cheer you on and get you over the hump. We’ve all been there, begging for the words to come and Life to get the heck out of the way.

Rooting for you! Best of luck… it’s a new week.

    • That is exactly what ROCKS about the ROW80!! And thank God for you guys…the cheering makes all the difference in the world…I feel your energy and momentum…Woot Woot! :))

  6. I’m with you in my busiest work week as well, Natalie! Just breathe and keep doing little things. Ryan’s advice is good and I’ll try to take it as well.

    • Ouch – sounds like we are in the same boat Barbara! I am taking Ryan’s advice and so far, I am not doing too bad. A few minutes here and there adds up and you know…it’s a nice distraction from the insanity of the week! Hope your week passes smoothly as well…and here’s to next week being way better. Will your madness calm down? Breath…yes….breath!! 🙂
