Urban Word Wednesday: Webtrovert

Now for some early evening (in my time zone) giggles….

Welcome to Urban Word Wednesday! New words, phrases, and sayings I am learning (and using in my day-to-day life) brought to you by ME…and the Urban Dictionary. You are gonna love these!

Webtrovert: someone who is a shy introvert in real life, but turns into a full-on extroverted party animal on Internet forums and social sites.

Examples Of Use:

Man…Natalie and Jenny Hansen were on Twitter and Facebook flirting with everyone, talking about the wild Rock the Row Twitter party, and posting all kinds of crazy photos but when we met them in person, they both just sorta stared at the floor and mumbled every time we asked them something.

Yeah, they are total webtroverts.

Sooooo utterly impossible but hey, I love fiction!!

Very uber hot cousin to netglow.

Are you a webtrovert? Come on…be honest…share the wealth…

ROW80 – Round 4 – Check in #1

Buckle up! For the next 80 days, we are going to rock Wednesdays. First in the morning with some hard corn ROW80 progress reports and then in the afternoon, we’ll have a giggle fest with some urban word insanity!

That’s right. I’m going to be a super keener posting TWICE every Wednesday (ok, so I went a little nuts today and will post 3 times…it’s just cause I wanted to give more props to the Twitter Bash). Yes. I am fahhhbulous! You may call me Superwoman!

Let us delay no longer….

You can find a list of my goals here.

ROW80 Progress – 10/05/2011

Work In Progress Goals:

Blogging Goals:

  • I blogged 3 times this week, not including this post.
  • I read and commented on over 35 blogs.
  • I retweeted/tweeted on over 40 blog posts.
  • I reported on my ROW80 goals on schedule.

Summary:

Before Sunday, I have to put in 5 hours towards constructing my outline; putting the first few chapters of the outline book into actual words and sentences. It’ll be tough with a very full holiday long weekend coming up but I’ll get it done.

I am feeling like a lot of my time is getting eating up blogging and tweeting. Now that I’ve found this ahhhmazing blogging community, I just want to read, comment and tweet to my heart’s content. There are so many uber bloggers out there and I am finding even more in my ROW80 gang. I can’t get enough of y’all! And thus far, without a WIP, it’s been manageable.

But, I am realizing if I want to make appropriate progress on my WIP and attain success with my goals, I am going to have to manage my blogging/twitter time better. I’ll need to find a balance between work, play, WIP and social media fun. In the end, this likely means I am going to have to put a time limit blogging and twitter. Sniff…but I am having such fun!

How is your ROW80 progress going thus far? How do you manage to balance everything in life?

P.S. Sunday’s progress report won’t come in until Monday – sorry folks – I am heading to the camp for the long weekend and won’t have Internet access until Monday evening when we return. Pls forgive…

Rock the Row: an international Twitter party – I am so there!

Today we are going to light up the Twittersphere like a redneck Christmas tree. Before we get started, let me get some THEME music going….nothing like a little JLO to help us get jiggy with it on the floor!

There…that’s better.

Now, let me introduce you to my party people in the club….the ever-talented Jenny Hansen with her ever-lovely co-host Nicole Basaraba are throwing a ROW80 Twitter Bash TODAY.

If my tune isn’t to your liking, fear not, the uberlicious Jenny made a “Rock The Row” playlist! All these details can be found at her original ROW80 party post.

Theme: “Rock the Row”
However you want to work that in is great. It’s up to your outrageously creative imagination!

Date: October 5th, 12:01 AM to 11:59 PM ET in the U.S.
This also happens to be the first day of check-in so there should be a ton of ROW80 fun happening around the blogosphere.

Party will be held at the #ROW80 hashtag.
Fire up your Tweet Deck or HootSuite and let’s get jiggy with it.

Photo Competition
Photos that reflect the theme. Jenny and her team of experts will do their best to gather them and decide on how best to spotlight them in a post at the ROW80 blog. Once the readers vote, the 1st place winner gets a copy of Kait Nolan’s latest book, Red, in e-book format!!

Here’s MINE:

ROW80 party organizers will also post a mash-up of favorite ROCK THE ROW posts at the Row80 blog.

Consider this my entry y’all!

And just in case you are wondering…what’s a Twitter party?
This is where we all stop in to the #ROW80 hashtag all day long and play and party together – trading news, pictures, music and jello shots. It’s going to be a great time! Please promote it as much as you can between now and then. Click here to get to the linky tool to list your post!

I am off to rock it out with my ROW80 pals…Come…Join the Party!
